Dave Christenson, DVM
Dr. Christenson has been a mixed animal veterinarian for 31 years. He sold his small animal practice located in Sandy in 2012. He has always enjoyed working with animals. He grew up on a three-acre farm in East Multnomah County and attended David Douglas Schools.
His father had grown up on a dairy farm in the mid-west and the experiences visiting his grandparents helped cement his love for farm animals.
He was influenced by Walt Vockert, a well-known veterinarian in the East County area, and attended the combined Oregon-Washington-Idaho veterinary program. He was in the first class to graduate from the combined veterinary program.
Dr. Christenson and his wife, Robin own acreage just outside of Sandy. They have two grown daughters, which they visit often. They have owned a variety of farm animals, which have included horses, pigs, chickens, turkeys, cats, and the newest addition to the family, Dallas, the family pek-a-poo.
He is looking forward to caring for your farm animals as well as your small animals pets.
